The palace has a number of rooms that are beautifully decorated with antique furniture, chandeliers, and murals. One of the main attractions of the palace is the Chuttuvilakku (row of lamps) display, which consists of thousands of oil lamps that are lit during special occasions.
The palace also houses a museum that displays a collection of artifacts that belonged to the royal family, including weapons, coins, and household items. Visitors can also see the royal elephant and horse stables, as well as a temple dedicated to the family deity.
Poonjar Palace is a popular tourist destination and is open to visitors from 9 am to 5 pm every day except Mondays.
